Just across the station plaza, 100 meters down Shirakaba Street next to the Sumitomo Mitsui Bank, you will find the “Isomaru Suisan Shokudo Jiyugaoka Shirakaba Street Branch.” It is a street-front restaurant with two floors. ◎ Alcohol and cancer risk — insights from the latest JAMA report

Approximately 4.1% of global cancer cases are attributable to alcohol consumption, with nearly 80% of those cases occurring in men. The carcinogenic mechanism involves acetaldehyde, produced when alcohol is metabolized.
